Conversation with a NYC Taxi Driver
I’ve always felt a certain kinship with taxi drivers and bartenders – those whose jobs also revolve around observing a great deal of humanity and absorbing the secrets of strangers.
The back of a taxi is a bit like a confessional booth, a place people are willing to talk and open up when they know they won’t see their driver again.
Taxi drivers in New York City interact with every single type of human being, from every corner of the globe.
And so, on the way home one night, I decided to ask my new friend Selim (who hails from Turkey) his thoughts on masculinity and how he sees it shifting.
